REGISTRATION FOR SUMMER DAY CAMP 2023 IS NOW OPEN!

In Camp Fletcher`s Summer Day Camp program, young people in grades 1 - 9 enjoy a broad range of experiences and challenges, making friends and spending time in The Great Outdoors — all in a safe and secure environment.

Our program hours are designed to accommodate parents’ work schedules, while providing their children with enriching experiences throughout the summer.

Campers are divided, by age or grade, into small groups led by trained counselors, who also serve as role models and friends. Keeping the groups small enables counselors to know, and respond to, each camper as an individual — while also helping the groups identify their personal and shared interests, appreciate their differences, develop empathy, and work together as teams.

Camper engagement is ensured by weekly themes connecting all our traditional camp activities — including hiking, canoeing, marksmanship, arts, crafts, team-building, swimming and fishing. Mixed-into each activity is a learning opportunity for campers — with topics ranging from environmental education, history and geography to math and science. It’s a technique we call “sneaky teaching,” because kids rarely ever recognize they’re being “taught!”

Finally, campers each spend at least 30 minutes a day reading.
